IRQ not selected message; I'm only a user

Specs: Windows 7
I receive "No IRQ driver selected" message when I attempt to open Pinnacle Studio 14, only. (Not error messages such as, 'less or equal...', nor do I receive the blue screen of death with an 'IRQ error' etc.) I've read a lot of the fixes for IRQ error messages, but none of them seem to be appropriate to my problem, and what I did read was for a professional, not someone like me.

I believe I am needing to:
1. Determine if I do, indeed, have an IRQ
2. If I do have an IRQ, how do I select it to enable my video editing
3. If, after receiving help with selecting the IRQ, and it still doesn't work, because I'm basically a user, (I don't know much about the operating of a computer) would you suggest I take it to a professional?

pinnacle has tech support, have you tried that yet?

I have emailed Pinnacle for instructions, after I tried everything I knew (which isn't much) to delete a trial version of Pinnacle 14. The P14 I purchased won't install because of the trial version. When I try to open the trial version I receive an error message, "Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Program on the Control Panel." When I try to delete the trial version it won't delete and I noticed the icon for the trial is not the usual colourful circle, it has a white background with green on the left.

And I thought not having an IRQ driver was a headache.

I also asked for help with this IRQ driver thingie.

I haven't heard from them. I'll wait until next Wednesday/Thursday and make another attempt.
