|It's device connection software supplied with some mobile phones & digital pocket cameras in order for the PC to recognise the device for transferring photos.|
If your camera or cellphone has a removable media-card for storing photos, you can buy a card-reader for your PC (it plugs into a usb port & uses a driver built in to Windows).
Alternatively, if you're not sure about removing Arcsoft Daemon Connect, just re-install it if you know which CD it came on. There is no need to uninstall it first. It will simply re-install over itself, repairing any corrupted files.
When you want to transfer photos to your PC, just remove the card and put it in the card reader. A window will open, and you'll see a folder containing your pics. Just copy & paste them like any other file.
You don't need the Arcsoft Daemon Connect to do any of that, so just uninstall it (but remember to buy a card-reader).
If you don't feel comfortable uninstalling it, just re-install it if you can find the relevant CD. No need to uninstall it first as it will simply re-install itself over the existing installation, restoring any corrupted or missing files.
