Solved IE monopolized my videos downloads. So much so that no vide

Specs: Windows 8.1
There is a necessity to remove IE> I tried every means with task manager to cease IE service. I tried deletion but was refused permission.

You can't remove IE as parts of it are required to run Windows, that's why Windows stops you trying to do it.

A bit got lost in your subject line - can you elaborate please? A lot of people are using IE with Win 8.1 so you must have some unusual situation.

You should be able to just not use IE. If you want to use an alternative browser for everything then set that to be your "default browser".

Note that without IE present you would be unable to get manual Windows updates.

I've now found this in your other post (double posts are a nuisance):
"IE monopolized my videos downloads to the point no video player can execute them. Videos that are downloaded are stamped with IE logos. Thus these video refuse to function in playback with multiple videos player which used to play them nicely"

That is not an IE issue. You need to give an example of the file type of these downloaded videos (such as .wmv .mpg .mp4 etc). The files need to be associated with the video player of your choice. You right click any video of each type then select "Open with".
