How to un-write protect a photo

October 11, 2010 at 23:30:15
Specs: Windows XP
Some of my pictures in a folder on my hard drive are apparently write-protected. Found this out when I tried to copy them to a CD. Not all of the pictures are write-protected, just a few.
1. How did this happen?
2. How do I 'un-write protect them?

I went into properties and the "Read Only" box is not checked.

you can still burn them to a CD if they are write protected. What is the exact error message you are getting?

Or are you saying you saying once you copied them to a CD you found out they were write protected? If this is the case, then that is normal, all files on a CD are read only.
