How do I set-up dual screens for my PC?

March 29, 2011 at 12:47:20
Specs: Windows XP Pro, 2GB cpu / 2GB ram
I want to connect my WinXP desktop PC to a second screen
(TV, actually) so as to play music videos while using the monitor for
other work at the same time. The TV has serial, USB, RGB, etc.
but no wireless. The PC is an old Dell Pentium 4, maxed-out at
2GB/2GB. Thanks for your help.

There are two options.
1) Purchase an internal video card that can support 2 monitors
2) Purchase an external video card that plugs in through usb that can support DVI, then purchase a DVI to HDMI adaptor.

If you go with a decent video card, it can support both video and audio through a single HDMI cable.

IT,

The old Dell has a 250 watt power supply and probably won't support decent
hardware video, but hey... I didn't know about "external video cards".
The USB=>DIV=>HDMI might work for me! Thanks for the education, and I'm
now headed for Tiger Direct :) Cheers,
