Buy an S-Video cable with 4-pin connector at both ends. It will plug into your laptop's 7-pin S-Video output jack no problem and will still send video signal to your Philips TV.

hey Phil, Thanks for replying. I did do this and in fact, the first cable, after it worked for a while, repeatedly showed " no video signal" on tv. I went out and bought another 4 x 4 pin cable brand new and after watching a few flicks it began doing the same thing. I tried restarting my Laptop and "nothing" . It worked before so I am wondering if a solution might be available.
Thanks
Pearlieman

Hey Phil,
Thanks for the reply. I was doing this with a 4 x 4 pin cable, when the message on the TV showed up "no video signal" I went out bought a new cable and the same results after it worked great for an hour? It sure beats me Why?
