how connect a panasonic NV-GS500 on a mac?

Specs: Macintosh , DDR3
Hi.
i have a Panasonic NV-GS500,
before, i used to connect it on a pc. and everything is ok
i bought an imac.
I recorded video, and connect it to my iMac and it doesn't appear on the desktop.
i look for drivers on internet, but i did'nt find anything.
Any ideas?

Operating System OS X 10.x ??

Connect CamCorder = USB or Firewire ???

I try on Two computer.
firt on an Imac osx 10.6.6 Darwin 10.6.0
connect camcorder usb
and i try on an other mac osx 10.4 with a firewire 400 camcorder

Seems that iMovie does not realise the Camcorder is plugged in, several Googles I have found without answer.

I would persevere with the older unknon Firewire Mac running OS x 10.4.xx after updating thru Apple Updater and installing the last compatable iMovie Software which I believe is 06 which was often bundled with iLife 06
