I have a Panasonic digital video camera and would like to move video to DVD. So I connect it with a firewire cable to my W7 machine. Nothing. I can connect it to my XP machine and it recognizes it. I can also use Windows Movie Maker to download the video to the computer (except it ran out of disk). Is there another piece I need to install so that my W7 machine will recognize the video cam? Also, do I still need Windows Movie Maker or is there a piece in W7 that will allow me to create a DVD from a file (MPEG?) on the system? TIA.
Windows Movie maker isn't included with Windows 7 (though DVD maker is, it isn't as good) but you can download the Vista version and it will work fine. You can get it from HERE "I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us..."
