hi there,
I took video's of my grandson on two different camera's and two mobile phones. Some of the files are mswmm files which would not open so i downloaded VCL media player and also final media player."i always end up with too much software" I tried to convert the files to mpeg.PAL but although it says mpeg it still wont play when i burn it to disc, this is part of my windows media player problem which i have posted a message about also.I also need help with adding these files to the movie maker as they stick and the music i add doesnt fit.Probably because the clips are too long for one song.

thanks

Have you tried using Picasa free from Google?
http://picasa.google.com/
You can add music with that too, plus many more features.
You have the option of making the movie fit into one song or adding the correct amount of music for the video.
I use Goldwave (a paid program but they also have a trial which should work for you...it allows so much to be done for free) to make up the length of music I need by merging
songs and making the proper length.
This just my suggestion and I don't endorse any music editing programs, especially pay ones....I am only suggesting the trial as it may work for you.

You can probably google free music editing programs.
Thanks

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
