|Sounds to me as if your AutoPlay settings have changed. |
Go to Control Panel (right click start icon bottom left of taskbar) then select AutoPlay. Scroll down to "Camera storage" and to the right of it you will find a slot with a drop down arrow. If so, note the setting and select "Import photos and videos (Photos)". Set it back to the way you found it if this doesn't work out.
