Hi;
I'm making a clip on Moviemaker using mostly pictures. I'd like to add a few mpeg clips as well. When I import them and drop them on the timeline, I lose the sound of my project,....and when adding more than one clip the project won't play, when I hit the "play" button. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks in advance!!!

Thanks for the link X86. Unless the "forum" there can provide answers,......the information is good technical explanation of how to use Moviemaker,........like how to import into collections, etc. which is what I already know how to do. My concern is what is causing this problem in the first place, and how to possibly correct it!

Cheers!

FYI,......this process solved my problem. I converted the video files into wmv files,....and they worked. I guess they are more compatible with Moviemaker.
Cheers!

FYI,....not sure if anyone cares,...but I used a free program called WinFF, and it did a decent job of conversion!

Cheers!

I'd also consider converting to another format. MPEG are not the best format to be working with. It's all to do with the way frame information is stored (or not stored, as the case may be). MPEG doesn't store information for every frame (a simplified explanation), which can cause problems in editing/compositing programs. For Moviemaker, I'd go with WMV files. There are many converters available that can do MPEG2WMV (even a few freeware).

Please let us know if you found someone's advice to be helpful.
