check webcam is connected correctly

any software that comes with it should be installed

download latest version of MSN (live)

on msn contacts main screen there is options > webcam + audio setup. Go in there and run through it. make sure webcam is detected and working.

On my msn there is video call too but there is also webcam only. i havent used msn for a whiole but look around in window and it should be there

good luck

hmmm. If your 100% sure there is no other webcam option then only thing i can think of is download a previous version of MSN

such as windows live messenger 8.5

or email msn technical support

I'm 99% sure this is a feature of the latest versions of Windows Live Messenger. They want to get away from just viewing webcams and encouraging video calling.

So if you want the old options you'll have to download an older version of Messenger. They can be easily found on the net. :)
