Specs: Windows XP, 1.66
I have a Mitsubishi HDTV1080 and I've connected my Dell Inspiron laptop to it using a dual sided VGA cable but all I get is colorful vertical lines. When I change the screen on my laptop I can see it alters my tv screen but the picture remains the same. I've also played with the screen resolution but the outcome is the same. Any suggestions?

The Mitsubishi HDTV is not compatible with the limited graphics capability of your laptop. You need to use a non-HD TV which has a VGA input (a dual-purpose PC/TV), or just a regular PC monitor.

Thank you pipp22 - It is most confusing because it has all the outputs on my TV giving me the impression that it supports this functionality... So must I purchase a converter?
