TV remote kills computer power

Specs: Windows 7
I connected my ACER Aspire to my Sylvania LCD tv with a HDMI cable. Works great except for one problem. When I turn off my tv, the computer power is cut. Also, when I turn on my tv, the computer is powered up. The two devices are powered on different lines. How do I prevent my computer from turnng off every time I turn off my tv?

Double-checked, but it doesn't look like its the "all off" function.

Just tested turning tv off with button on tv and it actually turns off my computer... so why is my tv turning off power to my computer?

Your laptop seems to be responding to commands sent over the HDMI.

I'm not sure how you'd go about disabling it, other than not using your TV as your monitor.

It's not real commands but voltage transients. I have a laptop connected to a HD LCD TV by a HDMI cable depending on the video input mode and the video output mode the computer's video get blanked when the TV is turned off.
