Samsung blu ray BDF5900 won't connect to internet

December 4, 2013 at 04:03:22
Specs: Windows 7
I bought the Samsung BD F-5900 last evening. When I go through the wireless setup, it says its connected however when I try to access apps or run network connection, it says it is not connected to the network
When I go into the router settings it’s saying the 5900 is there and working

Here are my settings and hardware:

Samsung BD F-5900
Router Linksys Smart router N900

Samsung 5900 settings:
IP 192.168.1.135
MAC 78 AB BB 9A 26 C1
Subset 255.255.255.0

Router settings:
IP range 192.168.1.100 to 192.168,1,149
Network mode: Mixed
Security Mode: WPA2/WPA MIXED PERSONAL

I pinged the ip address and it came back fine

Any thoughts?

Just to eliminate the wireless connection, have you tried to connect it directly via an ethernet cable to see if you can connect?

I have not. I will try shortly however reading some other posts others have had a similar issue. Reading the posts lead me to think it might be a setting in my router but I can’t seem to find the right one.

I’ll let you know when I hardwire it! If you have any ideas please let me know!
