After making sure the Network is all working and you can connect to the internet.
Turned on player. (No Disk in it) Went into the right hand "Settings" (gear icon) on front screen. Go down to "Support" Then "Reset". Defaulted to factory settings.
Rebooted. Then when going back in to the "Smart Hub" screen it had reverted to factory settings... i.e. not very much... :-( so went to the search facility pressed Enter/Select (the middle button on the remote) and waited a few seconds then one of the search options was Netflix. Selected that and then chose the "Samsung Netflix" search option, it connected, asked for Netflix username and password and voila we were in. :-)
Since then not a problem. The front screen (Smart hub) also then updated itself...
Just in case I also set up my Samsung account with the same username and password as the Netflix account just in case it uses that to log in to Netflix but don't think it dowes
