hello everyone,

I just bought Panasonic VIERA TH-L39EM5M tv (not smart tv) and i tried to connect my usb drive to examine the video quality; music files and photos where displayed very good, however, when it comes to movies i couldn't play any! i googled the formats that the tv supports (supposedly) and i found it supports MP4 format, yet i couldn't even find the movie file on the drive! i tried 2 usb drives and couldn't fine any movie file on them (i tried MP4, MKV and AVI).
i'm very sure the AVI and MKV files work because i already tried them on another TV using the same external drives i plugged to the Panasonic TV.

could anyone help me please? and another question, if there's any chance that the tv might play video files, can it play the subtitles too?

I appreciate ur help :) thanks in advance!

Read the TV user manual.

"i'm very sure the AVI and MKV files work because i already tried them on another TV "

That doesn't prove anything if the TV is a different make and model.

Phil22, thank you for ur reply :) ..

I read the manual and nothing is written about video files from external usb, they only mentioned music files (MP3) and photos (JPEG) and that's it!

thank you for helping :)
