how to repair black screen on a 2008 toshiba 37AV50V?

Specs: Windows Vista
My 2008 Toshiba TV screen is black when I turn it on and there no setting or possible way to make it work, it’s a model 37AV50V assembled in 2008. It looks like it might be a bulb & I am sure I can open the back & provably change the part if it’s easy to recognize; and that is where I need some help!

Possibly, but also power-supply and solid-state parts (i.e.-main chip) could also be to blame. If you've got some experience in repairing displays and don't have anything to lose if you bork the TV anyway, then it might be a good learning experience. Otherwise, take it to a qualified tech...
