Solved How to get access to an iCloud account?

Specs: Mac OSX 1.7.5 Lion
I signed up to iCloud a few years back, when I had a different email address. I recently upgraded to more storage, but have failed so far to get access to it to view my files. Any help anywhere?

Only Apple can help you. But if you don't have access to your original email address then I wouldn't hold out much hope. For all they know you could be someone else trying to hack into the account.

Thank you ijack for your reply, The seeming hopelessness of my situation spurred me to extra efforts, and after much trying I have succeeded in open in my iCloud account, and bookmarked the solution. The "wrong" email address,(which has been cancelled for a couple of years now) did not matter in fact. I was given an iCloud email address when I upgraded, and that proved the answer to the question, not my own new one here. I can now see what I have stored "up there" The response is of course desperately slow, when you try to open a file, simply because it has to be re-downloaded back to my computer. It isn't the huge benefit I thought it would be, but as a way of storing a few precious items, it might be yet another form of back-up (as if we didn't already have lots of these!)

Good news.

You highlight the downside of "cloud" computing. iTunes does seem to have a particular problem here. We had a similar situation when a young visitor changed my wife's iTunes password on her iPad. And, although I consider myself to be fairly computer literate - with twenty-odd years in IT support/management -, in the end we had to give up and create a new account.

Thanks for your help. It is a comfort to know that even experts like yourself, run into problems occasionally! Funny how sometimes you find a solution to a problem yourself, only after consulting others!
