I am going to buy a blu ray player for my mom. The issue is she does not have HDTV and has a coaxial cable only. The blu ray player I want to buy has no coaxial connection only HDMI and composite connections (which will work for on the TV). How do I hook everything up so that it works?
You can't connect via coax cable because coax cable is planned to transmit RF signals only (i.e. radiofrequency modulated). To convert from SCART, HDMI or RGB you need as first stage a RF modulator that is an expensive and unusual device. Anyway to connect a HD blue-ray device to a legacy TV set is meaningless.
