How do I record my voice to an audio file?
I need a free audio recorder & it seems like it would have to have a microphone option.

You need a sound card with mike input. compatible microphone, and software. Good free software is Audacity.

Most computers come with a Mic Jack. Look on the back of your computer it might be labeled Audio In. Plug a mic into it. Then go into the sound record and hit the record button. You can find the sound recorder under -> Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Audio Recorder.

Yeah, you need a compatible microphone first. While you are speaking, only using good recording software and then you can record voice to audio file straightly. You'd better find embeded audio recorder on your mic so that you can record streaming audio to files whenever you want to.
