How do I connect multiple devices to my TV?

Specs: N/A
Vizio M3D420SR TV
Devices trying to connect: Motorola cable receiver and Magnavox VCR/DVD

I also have a Radio Shack converter box that I was using with the old TV (it only had the old female cord connection in the back).

The issue: Can't get all three devices connected so that I can use the TV to switch between cable and VCR/DVD.

All devices have the 3 prong cord hookup available (cord with the red, white and yellow connections). Can't you tell I'm not electronic savvy :-)?

The TV only has one of these red, white and yellow sections available.

Please feel free to ask for more info but please be specific.

Thank you in advance.

If you have 2 Scart Sockets on the TV then use a Scart Convertor like:

Assuming the DVD/VCR combo has RCA input jacks (what you're calling "3 prong cord hookup") and a tuner built-in, you should be able to connect the cable box to it without having to buy anything; I have a similar setup with a DVD/VCR combo, DIVX player and DirecTV satellite box. Run the input of your cable company to the cable box; the output from the cable box to the input of the DVD/VCR combo. Tune the channel on the DVD/VCR combo to the output channel of the cable box. Run the output of the DVD/VCR combo to the TV and tune to the correct channel (or Video mode if appropriate). You'll need have external modes such as "E1" or "E2" enabled on the DVD/VCR when watching cable, meaning the DVD/VCR needs to be on whenever the cable is on.
