Help an old Brazilian to watch Netflix in this quarentine..

April 6, 2020 at 15:51:37
Specs: Windows 10
I have a Samsung Home Theater HT-C5500 and I am not able to make the connection with my modem, because I do not know what is the right number of gateway ping. Can someone help with this problem? I visited America two times especially California and I wish you all win this war against COVID-19. Here in Brazil, we are fighting a lot against this virus, and I believe that we are going to win too. I am only 75 and I want to live a little more to see my 2 granddaughters grow up. Thanks, Francisco.

How are you connecting to your router from your Samsung TV? Ethernet or wifi?

Ethernet is always a better way to connect whenever possible.

Do you have the manual?

The pages to view in the manual and to follow - if you can, and it's not always easy the way some manuals are written - are 26 and then 36 to 41; and then probably page 57 onwards...

Here am I again. Good afternoon: Just to say that I had relative success, but still do not know what is the gateway and where and how to obtain it. I am using a cable connection, a modem connected to a router and to my PC. Maybe what I am doing wrong is that I am using not a real TV, but a monitor/TV, once that I am trying to solve the problem in my office. If you can considerer this information and have something to say, I will be waiting for your reply. Thanks again.

First of all, I need to thank you for kindly help. I am using an LG TV/Monitor, but I tried several times to make it work using a Phillips TV and the problem is the same. I bought a Samsung wireless adapter, so a try it both ways and nothing. You say that connect directly to the modem is not good so witch way do I must connect it? What if I connect the modem to a router and from this to the device? About IP address and gateway everything is OK. I believe that this HT has some internal problem and after trying for so long time, I am almost giving up. If I do not solve the problem until day 20 I will give back the wireless adapter and give up. Thank you again.
