Hi claire plumb,

You are trying to print from the wireless computer am I right?

Okay, Is that the printer connected to any other computer in the network or else connected to any router or print server?

Could you please give the me the complete details so that we can go with the steps for the configuration.

If the printer is connected to any other computer in the network and able to print from that computer means we have to share the printer on the wireless computer.

Step 1:Go to the printer Icon(XP==>Control panel-->printers and faxes)or (Vista==>Control panel-->printers) in the computer where it is connected.
Step 2:Right click on the printer and click on sharing.
Step 3:Share the printer and give a unique name for the printer.
Step 4:After that come to the wireless computer.
Step 5:Go to control panel if you have installed the drivers of the printer (or else install the drivers by downloading of through the CD).
Step 6:In the control panel-->printer.
Step 7:You can see the "Add printer option".
Step 8:There you can select the second option "A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer".
Step 9:Select that option and select find the printer in directory.
Step 10:After that you can get the list of the computer names.
Step 11:Click on the Plus(+) sign near the computer to which the printer is connected.
Step 12:You will be seeing the printer name(Shared name) and click on it and click on ok.
Step 13:It will be connected and you will be getting the Icon of the printer.
Step 14:Right click on it and make it as Default printer.
Step 15:You will be able to print wireless.

If you have different setup let me know that so that I can send you the steps.

Give Printer name, network or USB printer, router, print server name.

Thanks and Regards

Thank you for this... I got to the part of trying to find the printer in the directory.

Problem - - I loaded the software using the CD ontop my laptop. The icon can be seen on desktop and in the printers option. (I can also print from it when connected through a USB lead)

BUT when I tried to find it in the directory there was no option for me to do it. Only gave me my work's network.

There is the home PC connected to the printer via a USB lead. This PC is also on wireless.

You are giving me a glimer of hope....

Hi claire plumb,

Do you see the + sign near the work computer?
Click on that and the shared printer will listed down.
Click on that and it will add the printer to the other computer.

Thanks and Regards
