Aspect ratio (DVD-HDTV)

Specs: XP SP2, 1.6/1536
Just wondering why fullscreen DVD's fills the whole screen on my HDTV, no mather which aspect ratio (View mode/format) settings i use on my DVD-player or on my TV.

I use video component connection (Progressive scan). (There's no HDMI connection on my DVD)

Problem solved.

I needed to choose "auto zoom" from "auto format" submenu, instead of "auto fill"

Well all dvd players are different but depending on the dvd player there sometimes is a setting, to use to get a full TV Wall Brackets | TV Brackets 16:9 widescreen version. Otherwise if your dvd player does not have that just buy the widescreen format dvd's. There should be a setting though.
