Ada890 thx decoding issue

Specs: Windows 7, Phenom x4
Altec lansing ada890 - decoding issue

I have exactly the problem as "Amman" in his post of January 2009

All connections are checked, diagnostic button says OK. I tried with many devices (PCs MP3 and TV) with the same results. The problem seems to be a internal decoding failure, an "HD" appears (flashes) on the front panel and the sound cuts.

Anyway idea to repair ? Do you think the whole speaker system has ended his life ?

Thanks for reading ;)

Fixed!!

HD means Head! --> HD flashing : head phone connection is failing

Got the tip from http://forums.vr-zone.com/audiophil...

--> " I fix my HD problem just cut off the red wire of the secondary speaker that connected to the head phone jack. Now working flawlessly. Thanks dennizz from Ban Leong giving the hint at HWZ. =) Long Live ADA890!!!! "

It could be usefull here, so i answered my own post :)
