Hi all.
I have a database file uses in VFP 9.0 and a copy from temp file created with VFP 6.0. The problem is: I unable to open the database file. Everytime appears error number 2005 about filename.dbf corruption. I can repair it by appending a copy from the temp file, actually. But I'm intrigued..what can it be and how can I prevent this issue?message edited by Vertect
You may have a failing hard drive or one or more bad RAM modules in your PC. Either can cause data corruption. You should test them.
Test hard drive with DOS diagnostic software which loads from a bootable CD.
Try SeaTools for DOS: http://www.seagate.com/gb/en/suppor...Test RAM with Memtest86 which also loads from a bootable CD:
http://www.memtest86.com/download.h...For both testing tools you can create the bootable CD from CD image using ImgBurn: http://filehippo.com/download_imgburn
