Is your file a database, or a Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet? What's the file extension?

I believe it would be a database, made in approach, File Extension DBT

It is on an external hard drive at present.

You can try this program, but no guarantees:

See this site:

https://www.file-extensions.org/dbt...

It reports that DBT database file type contain only text "memo" (notes) about database tables, not any other database data.

I'm with Mike. I don't think that's an actual database file.

Have you tried right-clicking on the file and selecting Open With, then choose Excel?

You may actually be better off just going to Amazon or eBay and buying the Lotus Suite software.
