I guess my question would be...

1.)Which button caused this?

2a.)Has the Data Base always done this?
2b.)If not What Has Changed?

3.)If it is a new database and this is the first time you have tried this, what were you trying to do: with what data, and in which way.

you may have to look into repairing the database

Use Kernel for Access Repair software and perform an instant recovery of damaged or corrupt MDB and ACCDB files of MS Access. In fact, this is one such utility that facilitates you with two different options: Standard Mode and the Template Mode, using which you can restore the damaged access databases.
