✔ Best Answer
Different sockets, so I doubt it. The manufacturer's web site (of m/b or computer) should list compatible processors.

"I want to replace my with a Intel G3258 4 Pentium 3.20 GHz 3M Cache 2 Core Processor"

The Pentium G3258 is a socket 1150 CPU. I'm not sure what it is you want to replace it with. Do you realize that with the right board & a little overclocking know-how, your CPU will easily clock up to 4.5GHz?

Here's a list of socket 1150 CPUs but as ijack said, you'll have to check either the computer manufacturer's website or the motherboard manufacturer's website for compatibility.

The OP has a Intel Core i5 I5-2430m processor and wants to replace it with an Intel G3258 4 Pentium, which doesn't look to be possible. One is a mobile processor, the other a desktop one.

I wasn't sure what CPU the OP is asking about. Is it the i5 listed in Specs or something else? The question was poorly written - "I want to replace my ______ with a(n) Intel G3258..."

OP, please fill in the blank- replace your what??
