Specs: Windows 7 home premium, 4.0 GB DDR2
Will a Nvidia Geforce gtx 460 768mb graphics card work well in my computer with the following:

HP a4327c
AMD Athlon II X2 240 Dual Core Processor 2.8GHz
320 GB Hard Drive
Premium Windows 7, 64 bit OS
550w Corsair PSU

I Know it will connect to my motherboard with a PCI express 2.0 x16 input and the PSU is sufficient, as you can see, and i have the available 6 pin connectors for the card, i just really want to know if it will work well with high frame rates consistently on ultra settings in Starcraft 2 with my computer.

First, you may want to repost this (or have it moved) to the Gaming forum. From what I can see you should not have any problems, at first I was concerned about power but then I saw you already upgraded your power supply as I read down the list. This card will certainly make your machine much more gaming worthy, but most serious gamers build from scratch or have someone build for them so as to make sure they minimize their 'weak links' in their system. As far as the game specific question, you will have to wait for someone who is a more serious gamer, or like I said, see if they will move this to Gaming for you.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
This site is about helping people, lets keep it that way.

Yes, it will work. Your dual-core CPU will limit that card in some games, but it will be nice and smooth most of the time (you need a quad core to keep the minimum frame rates up).

You may want to go for the 1GB version of the card to run games with Ultra texture quality. Not only does the 1GB model have more memory, but it also has a wider memory bus than the 768.

Socket 939 | Dual-core Opteron 185 @ 3.2GHz | 4GB | 1.0TB | Win7 x64
GeForce GTX 460 1GB | X-Fi Ti Pro | A8N32-SLI Deluxe | Antec P182

@Fingers, I'll be honest i don't really know how to change to the Gaming forum.

@jack bomb does it make a huge difference with the 1 Gb or 768Mb considering I already bought the 768mb and it is shipping right now. :P

But thank you for replying you guys i appreciate it.

Ultra settings? 768mb won't hold enough textures so u will xperience some lags. Gtx 460 1gb version is better than 768mb version(as jackbomb xplained) current evga have the fastest gtx 460(outpeform radeon hd 6870 & gtx 470).

if im probably only going to run it at 1600x900 resolution or less with that affect it that much with less memory bus. I am also just going to run Starcraft 2 on high settings just because i don't see much of a difference anyway.

You should begin your own post.
Do not post your email unless you want to get slammed (use the edit feature to remove it).
The NVidia 210 is not a gaming card and you cannot expect it to do more than that. It would be fine on an office computer running office applications and an occasional video conference, but it is not up to what you are expecting out of it. Return it if you can. Post your entire system specs and your list of games you may use on the Gaming Forum for recommendations on a gaming card to fit your budget.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
