want to make sure about an i3 and i5 improvement

Specs: Windows 7, soon 10 , i3/8gb
Hi everyone!
Truly need help with decisions! I want to speed up some things. I edit videos a lot with Vegas and see how it’s mainly CPU usage. I have an old intel core i3-3220 @ 3.30 ghz. All I can afford right now and thought about replacing it with is intel core i5-3570k @ 3.40 ghz. So I’d be going from dual to quad and I believe I could expect a great improvement in overall speed with everything. Especially video editing! Please let me know if it truly will make a huge difference or if it won’t help that much. Just want to be sure before I spend the cash.
Here is a comparison chart and with the looks of it I think i5 is a good move. I figure 8gb of ram is enough.
Thanks very much for your response !

What about a graphics card? Do you have one or are you using the Intel HD graphics integrated in the i3?

"I figure 8gb of ram is enough"

8GB RAM is the minimum recommended.
