VT Intel Core 2 Duo E8400

  • 0

Hello guys,
I was trying to install Red Hat Linux 64bit in a VMware workstation 7.0, but I couldn’t because my Intel Processor E7400 does not support Virtualization Technology! So I replaced my processor with Intel Core 2 DUO E8400 3.0GHZ 6m, which as I have read about it in Intel’s official website says it supports Virtualization Technology, but I faced the same problem again so I downloaded a tool from Intel to tell you if your CPU supports Virtualization Technology or not and IT says that my new processor doesn’t support it?? And now I can’t return the CPU and the website says it does support VT! Does anyone have any Idea?

  1. Your Bios is the problem. You need to update it. The processor has VT-x, but the Bios itself isn’t recognizing it. So therefore no software will recognize it until the Bios recognizes it.
