System wont boot after new 64bit processor.

Specs: Windows 7, 2 GB
I bought a new Intel Pentium Dual Core e6600 3.06 ghz. So i installed it on my motherboard. And when i'm trying to start my system up, it wont boot. All the fan's and lights do start up, but i don't see anything. I already tried to update my BIOS. Help me, don't know what to do.

I think that you're going to have to tell us the make and model of the motherboard before anyone can make a sensible suggestion.

And what do you mean by "I already tried to update my BIOS"? You tried and failed?

Did you check the motherboard CPU support list before you bought the new CPU? It may not be supported at all or you may need the BIOS update 1st - the update MUST be performed with the old CPU in place.

How did you go about reinstalling the heatsink on the new CPU? Did you thoroughly clean it of all traces of the old thermal compound, then correctly apply a thin line of fresh paste using the "vertical line" method? See the following instructions:
