Care to tell us which CPU you have & the type/speed of RAM?

All p4 that runs at 2.26ghz have 533 fsb, the correct ratio for 533 fsb is 4:5 u have to run memory at 333 ddr or 166 mhz.
The ECS board model number u posted support 533 fsb by default i don't see a reason for changing jumpers.

>>>>im running my windows in 1.70 ghz...i want to upgrade the cpu to its full performance ...which is(2.26 ghz)but in the default bios showing only 1.70ghz...
so i search everything how to upgrade it to full....and i did what they said ....the jumper in the mobo (cpu clock) and as i said no boot up and no power...

Don't touch the jumpers, increase CPU frequency from 100 to 133 mhz in BIOS.

Current memory clock is running at the same frequency as CPU external bus frequency. After changing CPU frequency change memory frequency to 166 mhz aka ddr 333.

i CanT change the cpu frequency in the bios it says "locked" cpu speed is locked...cpu ratio is locked.....i have a processor here ,,the older one ..intel r pentium r 4 1.60ghz so i tried to overclock the cpu in the bios i set it as cpu speed 2.4ghz cpu ratio 24x and load it up...and there's nothing happen ...it is also 1.60ghz....nothing change in the bios....but cpu pnp setup it says cpu speed 2.4ghz and cpu ratio 24x....

Post the board PCB version.

For starters, the CPU multiplier (ratio) is locked & cannot be changed. That has nothing to do with the board - the CPU itself is locked & there's nothing that can be done to unlock it. The only thing you have to work with is the CPU frequency.

There were 8 different versions of the P4VMM2 so as kuwese asked, we need to know which PCB you have.
