Overclocking a graphics card.. i think..

Specs: Windows XP
I hava a Neo laptop.. and i was wondering..
How do I overclock a Intel(R)915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset? Its only 64mB and i want to make it higher to maybe 150mB or higher.

i use it mostly for games..

Your laptop is not a gamer. It can't be overclocked & allocating more memory to the graphics won't help. The Intel GMA 900 graphics is about as bad as it gets. Some older games should be playable but you can forget about any recent releases. Time for a new laptop.

Yeah, like Mick said... thats an integrated graphics chip. Not only that, but most laptop graphics cards cannot be overclocked. This is because that generates extra heat and power consumption, and usually the laptop components are not made to handle them. IF you overclocked your mobile GPU, you stand a high chance of melting your motherboard (which it is usually soldered directly to). Fortunately, most companies lock the cards and therefore they can't be changed.

In other news, laptops are terrible investments for gaming machines. In your case, you don't even have a gaming laptop. You have an ultra-portable machine that is made to do basic tasks, gaming is not one of them.

If you want to game, the best cost option is still (and probably always will be) a desktop.
