Are you sure the beeping is coming from the Monitor? Is there anything showing on the display? What color is the power button? Is it an old CRT or a newer model? You haven't provided much information.

A CPU is a chip that fits in a socket on a motherboard. Motherboards sometimes beep if there's a hardware problem related to RAM, graphics card, keyboard, etc. As far as I know, monitors don't beep. Possibly it has a failing capacitor, but that's usually a high pitched squeal.

THIS is an example of a CPU. It's impossible to connect a monitor to it.

You didn't answer my question - is it a beeping sound or a high pitch squeal? What is the make/model of the monitor? Did you try connecting it to another tower or try connecting a different monitor to your tower?
