My computer suddenly refused to boot.

January 19, 2011 at 07:38:02
Specs: Windows XP, 3.06 GHZ /
When my computer refused to boot I visited the bios to find that the cpu temperature was on 86C and climbing. The cpu configuration gave 70C as the maximum. Will my CPU be fried and would this stop the computer from booting? I checked the CPU to find the wiring had jammed
the fan blade and when it was freed the fan started spinning again sending the CPU temp down
to 45C where it settled.

ALL P4s have built-in thermal protection circuitry. It's impossible to overheat one to death. You should have no problems.
