Could be overheating or a failing power supply. We need to know if it's a desktop or laptop, the system specs, & the CPU temps (idle & under load).

✔ Best Answer
Install HWMonitor and post the temps at launch, machine idling, then under 10 minutes of use. Report also fan speeds and voltages. If you do not get voltages close to proper in HWMonitor (I do not) then get voltages from BIOS. These and system specs may help us diagnose your issue.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

I don't know all of those specifics on my computer, unfortunately. I don't know how to get those from my system. I work 40 hours a week and have 3 teenage children. My best bet on getting it fixed would be to take it into a shop to have it looked at. I know it is a tower pc that is almost 3 years old. I think it needs a good cleaning inside the housing on it,but can't figure out how to get it off. Took all screws out and still no easy slide off I have done before on previous computers I have had. I just really need a reliable computer with the on-line stuff my children have to do and turn in assignments.
I appreciate your response.
