Invalid system disc

February 26, 2009 at 22:58:11
Specs: Windows 98
HI I USED MSDOS TO FORMAT
NOW THE COMPUTER SAYS

INSERT SYSTEM DISC
REPLACE DISK AND PRESS ANY KEY

IT WILL NOT READ THE D: DRIVE, AND I INSERTED THE COMPAQ COMPUTER REBOOT DISC AND THE WIN 98.

IT APPEARS IT MIGHT BE TRYING TO READ THE A: DRIVE, WHAT CAN I DO?

This is a Win98 question, not a CPU/overclocking question.

Many Win98 discs aren't bootable. What you're going to have to do is create a boot floppy, boot off it, then run the Windows installation from DOS.
