Make sure Turbo Boost is enabled in the BIOS. The driver should be downloaded from the PC manufacturer's website (Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc) or possibly here:

You definitely have the option in the bios to enable turbo boost, it should be enabled by default on some motherboards. Then you need to download the driver from you're motherboard manufacturers' website. Based on the specs you posted im guessing you have a laptop, what model is the laptop?

Hi have done the necessary many thanks, and Turbo boost is working when necessary, the only thing missing is the option to switch between nvidia and intel when I am editing video.this option existed prior to new hard drive but cannot find switchsoftware: Any suggestions? Laptop is Dell xps L702x Memory:16GB
