Solved How do I fix this Over voltage error?

Specs: Windows 7
So I bought and new graphics card (Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060) after I installed it into my pc and plugged my monitor into it I get an error message to do with over voltage. Any help on how to fix this would be great thx

You didn't post any specs so all we can do is guess. Do you have a power supply of at least 400W? Reliable name brand unit, 80 plus efficiency, single +12v rail of at least 30A, active PFC, 3-5 yr warranty or better, etc.

It does sound like it might be a cheaper power supply trying to make up current demanded by the video card and not able to maintain the precise voltage needed under higher loads. Post specs including power supply make and model number and/or at least individual amperage on each of the different voltage rails as well as the wattage.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
