How can i choose my new RAM for upgrade.

Specs: Windows Vista Home Premi
Hi, I have Sony VAIO VGNN220E laptop. in that 1GB RAM is installed, DDR2 SDRAM, DDR2-533/PC2-4200. I want to upgrade my laptop RAM by 2GB DDR2-667/PC2-5300, is this correct? my sytem support maximum 2GB RAM.

Does your laptop currently have a single 1GB stick or 2 x 512MB? If it's 1GB, just add another matching stick & be done with it. Going from DDR2-533 to DDR2-667 will make little or no difference in performance.

Your laptop has two slots. Each can take a max of 1GB. The specs state you have 2 x 512MB installed so you'd have to replace both of them.
