YOU installed the heatsink/fan? More than likely, you installed it incorrectly. Could be you used too much thermal paste, no thermal paste, heatsink not locked down properly, etc.

thnx gamer 4 responding ,i hv just brought it 2 days ago...and installed it with its fan given with it...but when i use core temp soft it indicates the idle temp. Is 42*C and when i run cod mw2 it rises to dangerous 105*C due to which i stop playing game plz help

If you just installed the CPU and Heat sink/fan and you are getting a temperature rise that high then the installation is not correct or complete.
Make sure that the fan's connector is plugged in, plugged in to the right connector on the motherboard, and plugged in correctly.
What heat sink is it you have? is it the Intel model with the pre-applied thermal compound? If it is, was it ever installed before? If it is a different type of it was already installed before, did you apply thermal compound? Did you apply it correctly? Look here:

i have used intel cpu fan given with the processor ... And i hv checked hundred times the fan connection ...but still the sensor shows 100*C while playing games....i have mercury pig31z motherboard with 4gb ddr2 sd ram ..plz help

yippie! Thanx friends ..the problem finaly solved..i followed your instructions and study fixing system of cpu fan..i de-assemble my cpu every part and firmly fix the fan correctly and now temp. Doesn't rise above 50*C while playing ...thanx everyone i m greatly oblieyged to you..
