How can you check the system to see if it has been over-clocked?

If the system had been overclocked at one time but the settings were returned to the defaults, there is no way to tell.

To easily see if it is overclocked right now in Windows 7, right click on 'Computer', select 'Properties'. You will see one line that lists your processor, the speed it is listed to run at followed by the speed it is running at. If they are the same, or the second one is missing, it is probably running at stock speed. Another way would be to install an overclocking utility (monitoring) program called CPU-Z.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
