Very doubtful you damaged the board, but why the heck would you crank up the CPU voltage so high?

I was curious lol. I wanted more power but it just freezed on me. I unplug it. And it just flashes on nd turns off in a sec. Today i removed the cpu nd mobo turns on. Its like its waiting for the cpu.

You do realize that increasing the voltage does NOT make a CPU run faster, right?

"i oc to 3.8ghz"

I'm curious how you got the CPU to overclock that high. The multiplier is locked from going any higher than it's default, which in the case of your CPU is 21x. And the base clock is 100MHz.

http://www.techpowerup.com/cpudb/78...

So to get it to run at 3.8GHz, you would have had to crank up the base clock to approx 181MHz. But increasing the base clock increases ALL the associated clock frequencies - memory, graphics, SATA, etc. - so I find it very hard to believe that your system would even boot, let alone run with those settings.

From what I've read, some motherboard BIOS "allow" increasing of the CPU multiplier. They will even report that the CPU is running at a faster speed. However, the multiplier did NOT actually change because it can't (it's locked). It's just a glitch in the BIOS which results in "fake overclocking":

http://www.passmark.com/forum/showt...

Only the newer "K" models have a fully unlocked multiplier:

You picked the wrong platform for overclocking. You should have gotten a socket AM3+ board & an FX series or Phenom II series CPU.

I dont overclock at the bios i did it ine desktop with a oc program that come with the mobo. Asrock tunning utility. The multiplier i dint move it cause after 100 gave me s---ty performance. With this tuner u can oc anything. Ram. pcie current. The multiplier. Cpu voltage. And alot more i dont under stand

Proper overclocking is done in the BIOS, not thru software. You didn't overclock at all. All you did was overvolt the hell out of your CPU & fried it.
