DualCore processor unknown device

Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, 2.499 GHz / 3070 MB
in my XP SP3 devide manager my intel dualcore processor is shown without label as "unknown device" . one guy told me to try uninstalling the driver. I did but not worked.
before this SP3 i was on SP2 and there was no problem.

I monitor cpu temperature by Everest. it seems to me that my processor remains warmer than before.

do u have any perfomance issues? List the system specs also post the cpu temp (better check in bios).

How is it recognized in the BIOS? If it says "unknown processor", you probably need to update the BIOS.

no performance issue.
intel dualcore 2.5 ghz, gigabyte g31 board, 3gbyte ram, 250 gbyte hdd.
cpu temperature is now 49-51 Celsius throughout the day. when i had no problem before it was about 41-44.
with my processor installed in another system and a different build of SP3, processor was listed with label.

Thanks jam,
it is recognized well in bios.
there was label, bass speed, maximum and current clock speed, overclock menu ... all ok.
it is fine in other os(linux) and even a different build of SP3.

I have a problem with my new AMD X2 245 Processor in XP SP3...it doesn't appear in my system or hardware.any idea why that happens?
