Cool gpu overclock still crashing

I just tried over clocking my 5850 using afterburner and testing with furmark.
I can get the core clock to around 875 and memory to about 1200.

The thing is it is running cool 55 degrees. But whenever I try to overclock it to anything over 900 Furmark doesn't even open and my computer crashes and I need to restart.

I just don't understand. Does it have to do with the stock voltage?

Any inputs appreciated.

The video card isn't stable at 900mhz, changing GPU voltage is risky but if u still insist use river tuner. The system crash because because of heat or not enough power.

if u want to overclock ur radeon HD provide us some psu info with the rest or your system.
your system power might not be enough to handle the slight overclock, note that your increasing the core clock way too much which might require some voltmodding done(its risky if your no expert).
my advice is simple keep the HD at default settings for now i dont see a reason for you to OC such a powerful card

computers are a second home
