Computer temprature question

Specs: Windows 7, i7 / 4g
I am a little confused about something here. I have two laptops. One is fairly new has the i7 Core processor and 4g or ram and its normal operating temperature is about 50-52c. My other laptop is older. It has a centrino duo, and 2g or RAM and runs at about 47-48 degrees. Both are running windows 7 (the new one has pro and the old one has home premium). The difference is noticeable as I can constantly hear the fan in my new computer.

Any one know why this difference may be??
