Here is a review on the AMD Six-Core Phenom II X6.

The interesting part about this article is that the original Phenom processors had Turbo Core like abilities in them which adjusted the clock speed for each individual core. While the Phenom II processors had this ability disabled due to AMD wanting to get the max amount of performance out of the Phenom II's.

I had high hopes for this processor. I thought six real cores would easily beat 4 cores+HT. Guess I'll wait for Sandy Bridge (or Bulldozer) before I build my next system.

AMD just can't keep up to Intel, sad fact. AMD is also in the hole for 5 billion dollars, I think this is AMD/ATi's last year in business.
